Low Magnesium Levels & ADHD

While there has historically been a debate about a link between Magnesium levels and ADHD, more findings have come out to support the link between them.

A meta-analysis on Magnesium was used to find the association between magnesium deficiency and ADHD.

A couple of findings are:

  1. Patients with ADHD had lower Magnesium levels compared to their healthy controls.

  2. Magnesium deficiency may exacerbate symptoms of ADHD

Magnesium can generally help support a feeling of calm and restfulness. After a day of taking stimulants, many people say they still feel wired or jittery, even as they approach going to sleep. To help support the body and brain in winding down, replenishing Magnesium that is naturally used up throughout the day can be very helpful. It is for this reason that Recoop includes Magnesium in its Recovery formula at night.
